Developer Slams Okla. For Stalling $750M Resort Project

Law360, Washington (March 19, 2014, 1:21 PM EDT) -- A real estate developer planning a four-star resort blasted Oklahoma with a breach of contract countersuit on Monday, claiming the state has stalled the $750 million project by cutting communication and refusing to follow through with additional land sales.

Although Pointe Vista Development LLC secured two swaths of land around Lake Texoma via a March 2007 contract with Oklahoma's Land Office, the developer alleged the state never closed a deal for a third, 1,022-acre area that it agreed would be “highly beneficial” for the resort plans....
