Motorcycle Rider Can't Blame BMW For Erection, Judge Finds

Law360, New York (March 20, 2014, 6:27 PM EDT) -- A California judge last week tossed a lawsuit against BMW of North America LLC and Corbin-Pacific Inc. by a man who claimed a four-hour motorcycle ride gave him a long-lasting erection, finding that an expert could not connect the motorcycle's vibrations to the condition.

Judge James McBride granted motions for nonsuit from BMW and Corbin-Pacific on March 14, the fifth day of trial. Plaintiff Henry Wolf filed the suit in April 2012, blaming his erection on tissue damage caused by the design of a "ridge-like" Corbin-Pacific seat on a 1993 BMW motorcycle.
