RE Rumor Mill: De Blasio, Pan-Am Equities, Baron Funds

By Kaitlin Ugolik (March 20, 2014, 5:48 PM EDT) -- New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's administration is reportedly planning to build a 10-story mixed use building in Harlem with 60 affordable housing units and office space to be occupied by the Harlem Dowling West Side Center for Children and Services and Children's Village. The Department of Housing Preservation and Development is developing the building in connection with Samir S. Shah of Urban Quotient and Alembic Development, according to real estate blog YIMBY. The affordable housing units are expected to cover 53,827 square feet, with each unit covering about 900 square feet, while 8,771 square feet will be set aside for the community organizations, YIMBY reported....
