GoDaddy Hit With Spam-Text Class Action

Law360, New York (March 21, 2014, 2:20 PM EDT) -- GoDaddy.com LLC was hit with a putative class action Thursday by a customer who alleges the Web hosting company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending him and others unsolicated text messages.

Plaintiff James Nassiri filed the lawsuit in California federal court, accusing GoDaddy of ignoring his requests to not receive text alerts related to its Web and domain services.
