Reliance, Nucor Face $67M Demand In Boycott Case

Law360, Houston (March 24, 2014, 10:12 PM EDT) -- A failed steel distributor told a Texas federal jury Monday that a group of major manufacturers and suppliers including Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. and Nucor Corp. should pay up to $67 million for allegedly conspiring to run the smaller company out of business.

Capping the trial of an antitrust suit that began Feb 18. in Houston, MM Steel LP told jurors during closing arguments that it was set to be a “major player” in the steel distribution market until Nucor, Reliance, American Alloy Steel Inc....
