Gannett Wins Attys' Fee In Records-Access Row With NJ Town

Law360, New York (March 21, 2014, 8:32 PM EDT) -- An arm of Gannett Co. Inc. was awarded $542,000 in attorneys’ fees on Thursday, when a New Jersey judge agreed with a special master’s recommendation to grant the fees after a protracted battle with Raritan Borough, N.J., over access to public records.

Superior Court Judge Yolanda Ciccone affirmed a February recommendation from Thomas Quinn of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP, the special master appointed to calculate the legal fees Raritan Borough owed to Gannett New Jersey, according to a New Jersey Courts spokeswoman. Quinn...
