Defective Goodyear Heating Hose Suit Gets Class Cert.

Law360, New York (March 24, 2014, 2:54 PM EDT) -- A Colorado federal judge on Friday agreed to certify a class of Colorado homeowners in a suit over defective heating hose made by The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., finding that enough plaintiffs in the state were affected to move forward as a class.

U.S. District Judge R. Brooke Jackson granted plaintiffs’ motion to certify the class of Colorado homeowners who have Goodyear’s Entran 3 hose in their homes, but denied certification to the less numerous plaintiffs in Wisconsin, where the tubing was also installed. The...
