Texas Pipeline Co. Hit With $2M Verdict In Land Seizure Row

Law360, Houston (March 24, 2014, 7:47 PM EDT) -- Natural gas midstream pipeline operator Peregrine Pipeline Co. LP was hit with a $2 million judgment in Texas court Thursday, after a jury found that a mile-long easement the company imposed across private property devalued the land.

Johnson County Court at Law Judge Robert Dohoney entered the final judgment March 20 in a condemnation suit Peregrine brought to seize a narrow strip of land traversing property owned by Eagle Ford Land Partners LP in northern Texas to accommodate a natural gas pipeline.
