Ill. Court Revives Insurer's Fight With Bankrupt Contractor

Law360, New York (March 24, 2014, 4:49 PM EDT) -- An Illinois appeals court has nixed West Bend Mutual Insurance Co.'s default win in a subrogation suit against a bankrupt contractor over property damage caused during construction, holding in an opinion released Friday that the contractor couldn't be punished for its former agent and attorney's negligence.
