UK Watchdog Sets Its Sights On Eurotunnel Deal Again

Law360, New York (March 24, 2014, 6:07 PM EDT) -- The U.K.'s Competition Commission concluded Friday that it has the authority to review Groupe Eurotunnel SA's €65 million ($90 million) acquisition of ferries from the defunct SeaFrance SA, less than four months after an appeals court overturned the watchdog's original bid to block the deal.

The CC provisionally decided it could review Eurotunnel's purchase of three ferries and several related assets from the former SeaFrance, concluding that the assets and a workers cooperative set up by SeaFrance's former workers did count as an enterprise under U.K....
