EMI Owes Writers $2M For 'Love Machine' Royalties, Jury Told

Law360, Los Angeles (March 24, 2014, 8:42 PM EDT) -- Sound Oasis Productions LLC, a music publishing company representing the writers of The Miracles' hit song “Love Machine,” told a California jury Monday that EMI Music Publishing has intentionally ignored a co-publishing agreement and improperly withheld $1.98 million in royalties on the song since 1999.
