RE Rumor Mill: Spitzer, Macmillan, Sun Hung Kai

Eliot Spitzer has put a large portfolio of apartments owned by his family up for sale, and Crain's reports that they could be worth more than $145 million. The 144 rental units on Manhattan's East Side are at the Corinthian, which Eliot Spitzer's father, Bernard Spitzer, developed in the 1980s. Massey Knakal is reportedly marketing the apartments in the 57-story building at 330 E. 38th St. The building is one of the largest residential towers in Manhattan, according to Crain's, with 863 units. Spitzer's family reportedly sold most of the units shortly after building the tower, but held on to the rest during the financial turmoil of the late 1980s. ...
