House Committee Will Revisit Expired Tax Extenders

Law360, New York (March 25, 2014, 2:26 PM EDT) -- House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich., said Monday that the committee in April will review 55 “extenders,” tax breaks for health insurance, restaurant depreciation, renewable energy use and others that expired in January when a gridlocked Congress failed to extend them.

Camp, who in February proposed a sweeping overhaul of the tax code that would lower rates without increasing the deficit, wrote in a memo to the committee that he would not support another one-year extension of the provisions, which Congress traditionally renews...
