Lockheed Wins $700M DOD Contract For F-35 Lightning

Law360, Los Angeles (March 25, 2014, 10:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Defense on Tuesday awarded Lockheed Martin Corp. a nearly $700 million contract to manufacture 57 F-35 Lightning II stealth aircraft for U.S. military forces, as well as the governments of Norway, Italy, Israel, Japan and the U.K.

The Pentagon announced the $698 million contract award to Lockheed in its daily digest of defense contracts.
