Comdata Sued For Stealing NexPay's Health Payment IP

Law360, Dallas (March 27, 2014, 8:48 PM EDT) -- NexPay Inc., maker of an electronic virtual payment system for the health care industry, alleged in Texas court Thursday that former partner Comdata Network Inc. breached nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements and misappropriated NexPay's trade-secret payment programs to start a rival business.

NexPay is seeking unspecified damages in excess of $1 million from Comdata, which allegedly violated strict security protocols and the agreements by taking NexPay's systems, taking a once-shared customer's business, and ultimately passing off NexPay’s proprietary system as its own work.
