Dish's Ergen Looks To Sue Falcone Over LightSquared Ch. 11

Law360, New York (April 7, 2014, 1:54 PM EDT) -- Dish Network Corp. Chairman Charlie Ergen on Friday sought permission to sue LightSquared Inc. majority shareholder Philip Falcone, claiming the rival billionaire is destroying the bankrupt company’s chances at revitalization.

Ergen, who holds about $1 billion of LightSquared’s secured debt, and Falcone have relentlessly butted heads throughout the wireless communication company’s two-year bankruptcy, as Dish attempted and failed to purchase LightSquared’s most valuable assets while Falcone has insisted on restructuring the company without a sale.
