T-Mobile, Wayport Win Ruling In PowerOasis Suits

Law360, New York (April 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appellate court has affirmed a lower court ruling that found two patents held by PowerOasis Inc. invalid and therefore dismissed infringement claims brought by the pay-as-you-go Internet provider against T-Mobile USA Inc.

In a decision Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld a district court ruling that found claims in PowerOasis’s patents invalid due to anticipation by prior art owned by a company later acquired by T-Mobile.
