Fed. Circ. Won't Rehear Time Warp Patent Case

Law360, New York (April 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appeals court has refused to reconsider its decision upholding a district court's order that Dish Network Corp. pay TiVo Inc. $74 million in damages for infringement of its patent covering digital video recording software, TiVo said on Friday.

Dish Network, formerly known as EchoStar Communications Corp., said it would appeal Friday's decision to the Supreme Court and that the outcome of the case would not affect its customers.
