NJ, Pa. Lawmakers Team Up On Del. River Authority Reform

Law360, Philadelphia (April 24, 2014, 3:23 PM EDT) -- A trio of New Jersey and Pennsylvania Republican legislators on Thursday announced bistate legislation to reform the Delaware River Port Authority, responding to growing criticism of the agency's spending projects beyond its core functions of bridges and transit.

Pennsylvania state Sen. John Rafferty, R-Philadelphia, and state Rep. Mike Vereb, R-Montgomery, joined New Jersey state Sen. Joseph Pennacchio, R-Essex, in putting forth bills that end DRPA spending on economic development projects, limit employee perks and boost audits and disclosure requirements for DRPA employees and board members....
