Samsung, HTC Say Google License Prohibits Android IP Suit

Law360, New York (April 30, 2014, 4:20 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and HTC Corp. urged an Illinois federal judge on Tuesday to nix a patent infringement suit brought by Cascades Computer Innovation LLC over their use of Google’s Android operating system, claiming Cascades exhausted its patent rights by entering into a licensing agreement with Google.
