Northwest Swept Up In Data-Processing Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Northwest Airlines Inc. is the latest carrier to be ensnared in an infringement suit by a British Virgin Islands-based patent holder over its document-scanning technology.

Eon-Net LP, which sued JetBlue Airways Corp. a couple of years ago, filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York on Tuesday, alleging the Minnesota-based airline violated three of its patents covering an information processing methodology.
