Military Bid-Rigging Probe Elicits 7th Guilty Plea

Law360, New York (April 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice's crackdown on bid-rigging in the military restraints industry has produced its seventh guilty plea, this time from another former employee of defense contractor Peck & Hale LLC.

Ranson Soper III pled guilty on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York to charges of bid-rigging and conspiring to commit wire fraud for his role in an alleged scheme to manipulate bids on U.S. Department of Defense contracts for military tie-down and cargo-securing systems.
