BAE Systems Wins $445M Army Night-Vision Goggles Contract

Law360, New York (May 7, 2014, 1:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Defense announced Tuesday that the U.S. subsidiary of British defense contractor BAE Systems PLC was awarded a $445 million contract to produce night-vision goggles for the U.S. Army.

The firm-fixed-price contract with Nashua, New Hampshire-based BAE Systems Inc. is for Individual and Enhanced Night Vision Goggle III weapons sights, according to the DOD contract award notice. BAE was selected out of five bids placed over the Internet with the Army Contracting Command, based in Aberdeen, Maryland, the DOD said.
