Disbarred Texas Atty Pleads Guilty To Ch. 13 Forgery

Law360, Dallas (May 20, 2014, 7:55 PM EDT) -- A disbarred Texas attorney pled guilty Tuesday to a felony perjury charge, stemming from his alleged forgery of a signature in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy for a debtor who didn’t authorize or know about the filing, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Aaron Rene Ramirez, 43, faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine after he stipulated that he knowingly and fraudulently made a material false statement in a 2009 bankruptcy proceeding.
