Conn., Mich. Managers File FLSA Suit Against Staples

Law360 (April 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Staples Inc. has become the latest retailer to be accused of failing to pay employees for overtime hours worked, after a group of the retailer's workers filed a proposed class action alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

A group of Staples employees filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on Thursday, alleging that the office supplies chain failed to pay its assistant managers for their overtime hours, as required by federal law.
