US Wants Mondo Penalty For Dish's Telemarketing Conduct

Law360, New York (May 30, 2014, 8:33 PM EDT) -- Four states asked an Illinois federal judge on Friday for a combined $270 million in penalties from Dish Network LLC for the satellite provider’s alleged hand in millions of unwanted telemarketing sales calls, while the feds pushed for another, larger award to punish its "disregard” for consumer privacy laws.
