Nordstrom Strikes $7.65M Deal In Sales Workers Wage Suit

Law360, New York (June 2, 2014, 6:08 PM EDT) -- Nordstrom Inc. has agreed to a $7.65 million settlement in consolidated class actions brought on behalf of commissioned sales workers who accused the fashion specialty retailer of violating state minimum wage law, the plaintiffs told a California federal court on Friday.

The workers behind the two consolidated cases asked the federal court in San Diego to grant preliminary approval and to set a Nov. 24 final hearing on the settlement pact, which they said was fair and the result of adversarial negotiations.
