College Board Settles Copyright Suit Over SAT Exam

Law360, New York (April 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas test preparation company will pay the owner of the SAT college entrance exam $1 million to settle an infringement suit stemming from the company's alleged use of copyrighted test materials.

The College Entrance Examination Board and Dallas-based Karen Dillard's College Prep LP announced Tuesday that all claims in the litigation would be dropped with prejudice and that the company would withdraw assertions that some of its employees engaged in misconduct.
