CFTC Sues Sentinel Over Alleged Misuse Of Funds

Law360, New York (May 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has fired off a suit against Sentinel Management Group, alleging that the embattled money manager misused and misappropriated customer funds.

In a suit filed on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the CFTC alleges that Sentinel and its executives improperly commingled customer funds with those of the company, in violation of regulations governing the segregation of customer accounts.
