OSI Unit Scores $103M X-Ray Inspection Contract For Iraq

By Andrew Westney (June 23, 2014, 3:19 PM EDT) -- OSI Systems Inc. announced Friday that its security unit was awarded a $102.5 million U.S. Department of Defense foreign military sales contract to provide X-ray imaging systems and contractor logistics support to Iraq.

Under the contract, announced on Friday in a DOD notice, OSI's Rapiscan Systems Inc. will provide 80 of its Rapiscan Eagle M60 cargo and vehicle inspection systems and related training, spare parts, service and logistics support for Iraq, according to a company release.

Contract work is to be performed at Rapiscan's headquarters in Torrance, California, and in Iraq, and the estimated completion date of the work is June 19, 2016,...
