Consumer Groups Blast XM-Sirius Merger Plan

Law360, New York (May 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Jumping into an already crowded fray, three consumer groups have asked the Federal Communications Commission to block the proposed merger of satellite radio companies XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. and Sirius Satellite Radio Inc.

The Consumer Federation of America, Free Press, and the Consumers Union said Monday that that the Department of Justice's claim that the proposed merger would not squelch competition is fundamentally flawed.
