DOJ Asks For Partial Discovery Stay In TFT-LCD MDL

Law360, New York (May 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Contending that it recognized the need to keep the antitrust multidistrict litigation against thin film transistor liquid crystal display makers going, the U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday asked the judge to allow some discovery to go forward in the case.

In a motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the DOJ said that it believed that some form of a discovery stay was still necessary in order to avoid interference with a grand jury investigation.
