SEC Subpoenas Lear In Growing GM Probe

Law360, New York (March 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Widening its probe, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has subpoenaed auto parts maker Lear Corp., as the regulatory agency continues to investigate struggling General Motors Corp. over alleged pension manipulation.

The subpoena requested that Lear provide the SEC with documents related to payments or credits by the company to GM dating back to 2001, said Lear in its filing with the SEC last month.
