Supreme Court Rejects Cendant CEO's Appeal

Law360, New York (May 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court rejected on Monday Cendant Corp. CEO Walter Forbes' appeal of a criminal conviction from a 1998 accounting scandal, shutting the doors on his last chance to get out of jail.

Forbes is currently serving more than 12 years for his role in one of the largest accounting fraud cases brought before a U.S. court. He was also ordered to pay $3.275 billion in restitution.
