Travelers Fights To Nix Policy Of Atty Convicted In RE Scams

Law360, New York (August 19, 2014, 4:30 PM EDT) -- Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America urged a Virginia federal judge on Monday to keep alive its suit seeking to dodge coverage for a Virginia lawyer who pled guilty to scamming First American Title Insurance Co. in real estate transactions, saying it has sufficiently pled its claims.

Travelers filed a response brief asking the court to reject First American Title’s motion to dismiss the suit in which Travelers is seeking to invalidate the professional liability policy it had issued to Virginia lawyer David R. Flynn and his firm Law Offices of David R. Flynn & Associates PLLC.
