J&J On Warpath Over Schizophrenia Drug

Law360, New York (March 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Johnson & Johnson has slapped Canadian drug maker Apotex Inc. with a patent infringement lawsuit, the latest attempt to thwart generic versions of its blockbuster antipsychotic drug Risperdal from entering the marketplace.

Last week, the company filed suit in U.S. District Court for the District of Northern Illinois, through its Belgium-based subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceutica NV and its New Jersey-based partners Janssen Pharmaceuticals Products LP.
