Supreme Court Declines T-Mobile Contract Cases

Law360, New York (May 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear three cases brought by T-Mobile USA Inc. that examined how state courts deal with certain arbitration provisions in cell phone contracts.

The three cases the court refused to hear Tuesday tackled the same question: whether the Federal Arbitration Act essentially trumps state law and blocks a state court from refusing to enforce a class action ban embedded in an arbitration agreement.
