Seoul Semiconductor Adds 5 Names To ITC Complaint

Law360, New York (May 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Five new technology companies have been added to Seoul Semiconductor Company Ltd.'s crusade against alleged semiconductor-laser patent infringement after the U.S. International Trade Commission agreed to follow an administrative law judge's recommendations to put them on the docket.

Seoul Semiconductor's complaint originally named Nichia Corp. as the sole respondent, alleging that the Japanese tech company had infringed on its patent for short wavelength semiconductor lasers.

But in April, Seoul Semiconductor asked to add Hitachi Ltd., Hitachi America Ltd., Panasonic Communications Co. Ltd., Mastushita Electric Industrial Co....
