Pasha Settles Bid-Rigging Claims With DOJ For $13M

Law360, New York (May 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A California-based freight forwarder will pay the U.S. government $13 million to settle claims it participated in a conspiracy to rig bids and fix prices for transporting the household goods of U.S. military and Department of Defense personnel overseas, authorities said.

The U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday it had intervened in two antitrust suits that accuse The Pasha Group and five European moving companies of participating in a scheme that caused the Pentagon to overpay for transportation contracts beginning in 2001 through at least 2002....
