Accutane MDL Judge Tosses Roche Warning Label Suit

Law360, New York (September 23, 2014, 7:44 PM EDT) -- The Florida federal judge overseeing the multidistrict litigation over the inflammatory bowel disease risks of acne medication Accutane on Tuesday granted Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd.'s summary judgment bid in one of three remaining suits in the MDL, dismissing the plaintiff's claims that its warning was inadequate.

U.S. District Judge James Moody granted Roche's summary judgment motion in a suit brought by plaintiff Karly Greenshields, finding that a post-2000 warning label on the acne medication was adequate under California law.
