Comcast To Pay $50K For Alleged Past Discrimination

Law360, New York (June 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Comcast of Houston LLC will pay $50,000 to settle an allegation from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that it violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The EEOC filed and settled the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Friday. The commission filed suit on behalf of Lupe Gallegos, who was allegedly discriminated against by Time Warner Cable, the predecessor of Comcast of Houston.
