Judge Finds 'Charbucks' Coffee Doesn't Infringe

Law360, New York (June 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A small New Hampshire coffee company can continue selling its “Mr. Charbucks Blend,” a federal judge has ruled, finding that Starbucks Corp. had not proved that the product had infringed or diluted its trademarked name.

Thursday's ruling in favor of Wolfe's Borough Coffee Inc. by Judge Laura Taylor Swain of the Southern District of New York was similar to a 2005 decision in the same court that also found Starbucks failed to prove its allegations.
