Pop Star Kesha Sues Producer, Claiming Rape, Abuse

By Brandon Lowrey (October 14, 2014, 4:50 PM EDT) -- Pop star Kesha sued record producer Lukasz Sebastian "Dr. Luke" Gottwald in Los Angeles on Tuesday, seeking to escape her exclusive recording contract with him on grounds that he drugged her, raped her, and broke her down with threats and abuse to force her into unfair deals.

Kesha Rose Sebert's complaint in California state court says the producer's abuse goes back to 2005, when he discovered the promising 18-year-old singer in Nashville, Tennessee, and convinced her to come to Los Angeles.
