Lands' End The Latest Retailer To Face 'Made In USA' Suit
Law360, New York (October 29, 2014, 6:46 PM EDT) -- Clothing retailer Lands' End Inc. on Wednesday became the latest merchant to be hit with a proposed class action accusing the company of labeling foreign-made apparel as produced in the U.S., a tactic that a California consumer alleges has allowed the business to sell items at a higher price.
The lawsuit, filed in San Diego by lead plaintiff Elaine Oxina, seeks to represent nationwide and statewide classes of Lands' End customers who purchased the company's apparel under the allegedly false pretense that the items were manufactured and contained material produced in the U.S.
