Madden's Shoes Breach Trademark Settlements: Asics

Law360, New York (June 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Shoe company Asics Corp. has sued rival Steve Madden Ltd. for allegedly selling shoes that infringe on Asics' trademark and violating two previous agreements between the companies.

Asics' complaint, filed June 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of California, claims that New York City-based Madden has sold shoes that imitate Asics' trademarked stripe design even after settling two previous trademark infringement lawsuits with Asics.
