Whole Foods Sued Over 'Non-GMO' Almond Milk Labels

By Jonathan Randles (November 10, 2014, 4:51 PM EST) -- Whole Foods was hit Friday with a proposed class action in California over its sale of Blue Diamond-brand almond milk, accusing the nation's largest natural foods grocery store of mislabeling the products as containing no genetically modified organisms even though they did.

Named plaintiff Michelle Richard seeks to represent a nationwide class of Whole Foods customers who purchased Blue Diamond Refrigerated Almond Breeze Milk or Almond Breeze Vanilla Almond Milk that bears a "Non-GMO" product label.
