Appeals Court Affirms Sentence In Fraud Case

Law360, New York (April 3, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court Monday upheld a nine-year prison sentence for the jailed founder and former chief executive officer of defunct healthcare and prescription drug provider Health Management Inc.

The decision came down from a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan, which rejected a motion by embattled pharmacist and entrepreneur Dr. Clifford E. Hotte to vacate his sentence.
