By Allissa Wickham (November 20, 2014, 10:12 PM EST) -- President Obama on Thursday said he would take executive action to allow certain undocumented immigrants with children to remain in the U.S., while beefing up border security and making it easier for highly skilled workers and graduates to stay in the country.
In a primetime address Thursday evening, Obama announced that undocumented immigrants who have been in America for more than five years and have children who are legal residents will be able to apply to stay in the country temporarily without fear of deportation. These individuals will be required to pass a background check and pay taxes, Obama said....
