ATP's Bid To Split Tennis Tour Trial Denied

Law360, New York (June 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A U.S. district judge has denied professional tennis association ATP Tour Inc.'s request to bifurcate the trial over the German Tennis Federation's claim that ATP's new tournament system is anti-competitive.

ATP had asked the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware to break up the trial into separate liability and damages phases, arguing that it would make the trial more efficient and simplify the case being presented to the jury.
