NJ State Court Tosses Hundreds Of Accutane Suits

By Sindhu Sundar (December 12, 2014, 6:54 PM EST) -- The New Jersey state court overseeing the consolidated proceedings over Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd.'s acne medication Accutane has dismissed more than 600 suits in which it said the plaintiffs failed to respond to discovery requests. 

Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Nelson Johnson on Tuesday granted Roche's motion and dismissed the suits without prejudice, saying the plaintiffs in those suits failed to provide discovery in response to an order in May, according to his ruling. The dismissed cases are among more than 7,200 suits consolidated in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
